The Ruby Gems!

Why did NMS start a Red Hat Society Chapter?
NMS has come to realize that it is important for people to participate in activities they enjoy and to spend time with their peers. The Red Hat Society is a great club to have because anyone can participate (who doesn't love to eat dessert?)

Northern Management has 22 people who are currently members of the Ruby Gems.

On August 22nd Northern Management Services held its first Red Hat Society meeting at the Pinehaven Red home. They invited the Gaylord Alpine Workshop to be a part of this dis-organization (This is how all Red hat members refer to themselves). GAW brought along two ladies that live with other providers. At the first meeting we decided to call ourselves the Ruby Gems and we have since officially registered under that name. We meet every two months. At these meetings we eat lavish desserts (because when you reach a certain age you should be allowed to let your waistline go a bit) and we did each others makeup and just visited. We had a red-uation party for four of our members who had turned fifty since our last gathering. At our next gathering we are going to make a craft project.

There have been several benefits from starting the Ruby Gems. NMS staff and GAW staff now can work hand in hand in doing something fun. As a registered group we have been receiving invitations from the other seven Red Hatter groups in the area to join in community activities.
